Dorset Wildlife Trust champions the county’s wildlife and wild places, inspiring people to connect with nature on their doorstep and leading the way in sustainable land management. Founded in 1961 by volunteers, the Trust is now supported by over 27,000 members and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. Through the management of 42 nature reserves and four visitor centres across Dorset, and in partnership with landowners, councils, farmers and other conservation organisations, they protect habitats, create more space for nature to thrive, and inspire action for wildlife.
