The Royal Motor Yacht Club is centrally placed in the local community and knows it is important to help both local charities and national organisations.
The level of support ranges from the donation of premises and Club facilities to allow organisations to hold fundraising events, through to storage of boats and the use of landing facilities. We also arrange harbour litter picks and take part in the harbour wide Harbour Watch to help safeguard boats on swinging moorings throughout the harbour.
The Commodore’s Charity is Dorset Wildlife Trust. Dorset Wildlife Trust is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. With the invaluable support of our volunteers, members and corporate supporters we manage more than 42 nature reserves for wildlife and people in Dorset. We also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live
In addition, we have supported Brownsea Island National Trust for many years by providing access to the club’s facilities which enables boats and services to be easily transferred to and from the Island.
