Seagull Revival Rally

It’s time to dust off and oil your British Seagull and Anzani outboards for the next Seagull Revival Rally hosted by the RMYC with an estimated start time of 16:30hrs.

You can mount your British Seagull or Anzani outboard motor on any waterborne vessel that will get you SAFELY from the clubhouse, following a set course around Brownsea Island and back.  Fancy dress is optional, but should not present any risk to your crew, vessel, or engine.  The rally starts at 16:30hrs.

Again, this year, we are incorporating separate rallies for paddleboards, and tenders powered by ELECTRIC outboards. These will start earlier and will follow shorter courses, so there is an opportunity to use the same vessel with electric or Seagull power due to the separate timings (TBC).

Prize giving and the bar and restaurant will be available from 18:00, for crew and their guests.  There is no charge for entering the Rally but food and drinks to be paid for on ordering.

Booking for both the rally and supper is essential.   The closing date for receipt of booking forms is 26th June.  Payment for food must be made at the restaurant on the day.

Please ensure your booking form includes a list of names of all those taking part in the rally, attending the supper and also any guests who are attending the supper, particularly non-members.  This will ensure access to the Clubhouse.

HELP ON THE DAY

We rely on volunteers to crew safety and marshal boats.  If you are not taking part in the rally but would like to help, please complete the booking form and CLEARLY INDICATE that you wish to help.  If you have a boat, RIB or dinghy that you can use, please also indicate this on the booking form. Please be aware there may be a requirement to tow entries back to the Clubhouse if they breakdown.
