Launching & Haul Out

The slip is available for launching and haul out between April to October at the following times:

Monday to Thursday	09.00-12.30 & 13.30-19.00
Friday	09.00-12.30 & 13.30 – as required for racing
Weekends	09.00-12.30 & 13.30-20.00 (or sunset if earlier)

Boats stored in the yard can be launched by the RMYC yard staff using one of the tractors or the hoist – details below:

Small Tractor	All up weight of less than 2.5 tonnes on a single axle trailer
Middle Tractor	Weight up to 6 tonnes on a single axle trailer, or boats on a twin axle trailer between 2.5 – 4.5 tonnes provided they are fitted with a standard 50mm ball hitch
Hoist	Maximum LOA 12.8m, draft 2m and weight up to 16 tonnes

Club members may also use the electric winch to launch their own boat if (a) the boat is stored in the yard, (b) it is under 2 tonnes all-up weight and (c) they have undertaken winch training.
