Training

The RMYC is a recognised RYA Training Centre for both sail and power and runs a wide range of training courses throughout the year for members and their families.

We also arrange a ‘sail training week’ each summer for children between 8-14 years old.  During the week we teach the children to RYA Start Sailing Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4, using both single handed and double handed dinghies.

At the start of the season, we provide a short course for the Gun Deck helpers. If you are new to the sport, it is a quick and easy way to get involved and enjoy being part of the gun deck team, raise a flag, fire a cannon, or just spot the boats it an exciting way to enjoy the atmosphere and the fantastic views from the Gun Deck.
